Advent III - The Christmas Star: Fact or Fiction?
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." - ISAIAH 9:6-7

Everyone's been asking if the Christmas star in Bethlehem was the real deal or if it was just a figment of our imaginations.
If you are a christian, you should know very well that the Star of Bethlehem was the real thing and I personally believe it was.
Astronomers believe the brightness of the Christmas Star came from an extremely powerful supernova but they also believe that the the Christmas Star was a truthful signal that welcomed the birth of Jesus into this world.
While atheist and agnostic groups try to play down the Christmas Star as real (some even believe that scholars were just "drunk" while looking at the stars). We as a christian family know that the star was sent as a signal to welcome our savior at Christmas time.
It's one of the brightest stars in the cosmos and it will come again this Christmas, signaling the arrival our king who will save us from sin and tyranny.
And believe me when I say this: It's fact enough.
