Time for one of those "Sophia Petrillo" moments... Picture it, Ferndale, 1993... My family and I decided to visit my mom mom and pop pop. We were at my mom mom's house because we found out that my Uncle Jeff had a Super NES and Super Mario World.
We go there and sure enough, I remember the exact Area and Level he's on. I see that he's in Chocolate Island... Area 6 - Level 2 and sure enough, he gets a Yoshi egg.
And sure enough that's where the Yoshi voice began. Yoshies typically don't talk but I'll tell you, I think if Nintendo needs a Yoshi that speaks english, they got the perfect person? Me.
I own two yoshies myself, a yellow one and black one I got from Yoshi's Story. I've always been a big fan of the Yoshi character in the Mario Universe and I just don't think the Yoshi voice will ever go away, it will always be a part of me because it does entertain people and a lot of people do get a kick of it.
That's my job... make the world laugh and a better place. I do my part constantly.
