Hello,
Ravens fans, you are so completely foolish to why we won Super Bowl 47 way back when. I hear, oh just a lucky playoff run...
No... It was more him leading us down the field and the defense coming up big. Joe's the leader of the offense, what more do you want?
He became the first quarterback in playoff history to average 20 yards a completion in 1 game. There's a mindblowing stat... but it's okay... you don't care.. Boldin bailed him out... Smith bailed him out...
JOE HAD TO THROW THE BALL TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!
Joe had a bad game vs. Houston. But he doesn't seem to be ENTITLED to those bad games. Rodgers, Brady, Manning, and everyone else are entitled to bad games, because they are consistent with their stats and your fantasy football teams.
Do you realize how good we have it? But like I said in my last blog. You are using FANTASY FOOTBALL and his stat sheet as a weapon against him. There's a more important stat: WINS with him under center!
I want to remind all you Ravens fans of how good WE HAVE IT with Joe as our starter,
First and most importantly, the Ravens have won 64% OF THE GAMES with him under center. 80-45 as a starter. Wins are the most important statistic in a game! Not the numbers he puts up!
First 5 seasons: 5 playoff runs, 9 wins, a Super Bowl Championship, Of those 9 playoff wins: 7 WINS ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!
We went through 15 different quarterbacks in a period of 12 years... Man, look at some of the teams we went through. Boller, McNair, Zeier, Zorn, Case, Banks, Grbac... We were stupid for not keeping Dilfer... But again, look at who we went through.
He has a bad game but wins: There's immediate criticism. HE WON THE GAME THOUGH! But to you, that don't matter. He's on your fantasy team, he didn't help YOU WIN!
IRON TOUGH: 125 STRAIGHT STARTS and hasn't missed one!!!!!
He has a good game but loses: He didn't lead us! But he helped my fantasy football team!
We have one of the best quarterback situations in the game: STABILITY!!!!!. Do you really want the situation in Washington, Jacksonville, New York, Oakland, Tampa Bay... etc.
His cool demeanor. Do you want a brash talking quarterback who thinks he's the very best in the game and in the end he turns out to be a flop? Hmmm. Ryan Leaf leads that example. "I'm looking forward to a 15-year career, a couple of trips to the Super Bowl, and a parade through downtown San Diego." Yep! Brash talking! and guess what, HE FLAMED OUT DIDN'T HE. Flacco doesn't like talking about himself. But when he finally spoke up and said something. Everyone laughed at him! But guess what, he got redemption in Super Bowl 47 now didn't he. He backed up that one hint of BRASHNESS! But after that, he shut up because everyone laughed at him.
You want a HEISMAN WINNER! GUESS WHAT! THE HEISMAN CURSE!!!! Look at some of the quarterbacks who won it and FLAMED OUT!!!!! Tebow, Torretta, Ware, Beban, Leinart, Griffin III, Troy Smith, Weinke, Wuerffel! A Heisman winner DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEE HE'S GOING TO BE THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! Only 5 out of 78 players who have won the Heisman went to the hall, only 1 is a quarterback.
You expect him to be perfect in every game: WELL GUESS WHAT! NO QUARTERBACK IS PERFECT! Flacco threw for 5 TD and 306 yards vs. Tampa Bay and... wow, you say, it's because he played a bad team.. Aren't you supposed to beat up BAD TEAMS!?
Played injured in a total of 4 games... That's Johnny Unitas like!!!!!
---
Some of these teams play better than their records indicate which is the example with Houston. The defense didn't come up big in situations. Might I remind you that the DEFENSE is apart of the game too. JOE DOES NOT PLAY DEFENSE!!!!!!! Oh but it's all his fault we lost!
---
I'm thinking about boycotting football next year until Joe Flacco gets some sort of respect for the way he manages and plays well enough to win. You all want a first round pick to be spent on a quarterback to give Joe a little oomph to tell him to play better. Again... you are using his stats against him, when he's got more than enough of the biggest stat: WINS.
You can't have both... You must be out of your minds.
---
Joe,
You ultimately have my respect. I don't care about the stats you put up in the game, I care about the fact that we won the game with you under center. You are the reason why we're consistent winners.
People just need to stop with their bullishness and let you play ball. If you don't put up the stats but still managed the win, guess what, you won the game! That's the most important statistic.
Thanks for being our quarterback! You are the leader of this team. I don't care if you don't have anything you want to say to the media. Screw them! Screw ESPN! You play YOUR game
~ Joshua
