Questions to the Editor (Part 2)

(Courtesy: Softpedia)

Hello,

I had a sit down with someone that wanted to ask me questions. To protect his identity, he will be called "person"

Person: Well I hear you and Joanna have set the date!

Me: Yes, we certainly did, 11/7/15, I'm really happy and super excited about this.

Person: What are you most looking forward to with this wedding?

Me: Of course, marrying my best friend and soulmate. Hanging out with my family and friends. I'm just looking forward to it as well as Joanna is. We're really excited about the light at the end of our respective tunnels..

Person: Summer has come to a close, did you get to do everything you wanted to?

Me: Well, we never made Knoebel's this year and I was seriously looking forward to a trip up to Elysburg to ride the Phoenix and I did think that was going to happen this year. But it didn't. I did enjoy OCNJ however with her family. It was 10 days of just keeping it real and taking a "slow down" with life.

Person: Have you determined who your best men and groomsmen will be for the wedding?

Me: Yeah, but that's classified so I can't share that with you.

Person: You recently dropped a post about "On the outside looking in," you got some nice responses from people.

Me: I think it was time to tell people about why autism is such a big thing that I have to deal with and why I don't participate in such things as Hashtagging, Throwback Thursday, and Flashback Friday. To me, it's things that just don't interest me as a person. People can rip me off of their facebooks for me being critical of these things. I guess it's just me being the one sitting on the stump of the sidewalk just waiting for someone to sit next to me and say: "Hey dude, I'm not one for that kind of stuff either."

Person: Do you feel like you are being too critical sometimes?

Me: No, I get criticized a lot as a person and personally, it is time for me to draw my own criticisms as well. I could get a twitter again and have people read my posts via twitter if they were to follow me but I say to myself, nah, I don't want that.

Person: I think you've defined "you're talking..." when you say Autism Speaks.

Me: Absolutely, my thoughts and posts are what gets me to talk. I try to carry conversation but I don't know the five W's that well. I raised my hand very little in school because I didn't know who, what, when, why, and where really was. To me, a simple question was too complex. When I want to say something, it seems like I am constantly ignored.

Person: When your wedding comes around, things will finally change.

Me: I guess so. They'll be focused on my future wife and I. It will feel nice to get noticed for a change for one day. Finally, a day when I will see myself get cheers and people giving me standing ovation. I've never gotten a standing O or anything before. I remember the one day I spoke my name over the PA system at Baltimore Highlands, I got cheers and applause but... I couldn't see them doing it.

Person: Have you given any thought to theme, colors, stuff like that...?

Me: Theme? Nah. Colors? Probably got a good sense of it. Anything else? I'm giving it time. For now I'm just enjoying the good life.

Person: What's your plans for the end of 2014 with the final third of the year coming up?

Me: Wedding planning of course, halloween parties in October, a fun Thanksgiving in November, and a prime Christmas come December. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm going to be off of work for most of December? Just going to be an awesome home stretch. Next year will be even better!

I guess you'll have more questions for me soon, eh?

Person: In due time...

~ Joshua ~
